The National Association of Activity Professionals (NAAP) is the only national organization that exclusively represents Activity Professionals working in senior living and healthcare settings. Since 1982, NAAP has been a leading advocate for person-centered care, promoting meaningful engagement through quality programming, professional standards, and continuing education. In 1986, NAAP created the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP), providing national accreditation.
Our mission is to support Activity Professionals by providing resources, certification pathways, industry advocacy, and networking opportunities. NAAP is committed to enhancing the quality of life for older adults and individuals with special needs by developing competent, compassionate professionals who bring creativity, purpose, and connection to those they serve.
With members across the United States and abroad, NAAP fosters a strong professional community and elevates the essential role of activity services within the continuum of care.
