As Vice President of Reimbursement Policy and Population Health for the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living, Nisha Hammel leads the association’s policy and strategic initiatives on value-based care and innovative payment models – including provider-led special needs plans, ACOs, emerging models, and managed care.
She supports AHCA/NCAL’s Population Health Management Council established to promote and advocate for LTC provider-led solutions.
Nisha is a recognized thought leader with over 20 years of senior leadership and operational experience in post-acute care and senior living. She is a regular speaker at national and state conferences on value-based care and population health.
Nisha earned a master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Notre Dame.
