Cynthia Morton serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ADVION, an advocacy organization that represents ancillary care service providers to long term post acute care settings and the senior care market. She is responsible for strategy, advocacy, and all other aspects of representing ancillary care service providers with Capitol Hill and with regulatory agencies. A Medicare and Medicaid expert, she is frequently quoted in trade press for the sector and speaks nationally at conferences.
Prior to joining ADVION, Cynthia served as the Vice President for Political Affairs for the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). She has also served in a variety of roles in long term care policy including with Virginia Medicaid and various political positions in Virginia. Over the course of her career, she has represented long term care providers before Congress, the Washington health care community, and the media. She also was responsible for lobbying, political strategy and building relationships with Members of Congress. She also developed policy and positions on Medicare and Medicaid and related long term care issues such as provider tax, intergovernmental transfers, dual eligibles, ICF/MR and developmental disability issues, Medicaid block grants, waivers and long term care financing reform.
