Shauna Kapsner grew up in a nursing home with her first visit at the age of 1 week. With an RN/LNHA for a Mom, the whole family gets volunteered for everything! She recognized her passion for the elderly later and has been working in long term care since 2007 with a focus in assisted living. From 2007 through 2022 found Shauna wearing many hats (as we always seem to do in LTC). She isn’t afraid to jump in where needed whether it was: website design, health insurance renewals, HR, working to integrate core values, marketing, restructuring a training program, quality improvement surveys & programs, mock surveys, payroll, grant writing, annual review of systems, AHCA quality award application writing, and working the floor. Shauna had the privilege of being the NCAL State Leader for Minnesota for 4 years and was a Board member of Care Providers of Minnesota for 6 years. She was an AHCA Quality Award Silver Examiner for 2 years and a Gold Examiner since 2019. She is also honored to sit on the AHCA/NCAL Quality Award Board since 2020. Shauna has assisted in coaching the Care Providers of Minnesota workshops for the Bronze and Silver awards. Quality systems and processes are truly a passion. 2022 started her foray into Association life to assist members across the state in meeting education and quality goals. LTC is filled with learning opportunities and new experiences daily and Ms. Kapsner operates with the firm belief that ‘We can do better’… and we do.
